Crypto Crash: Causes and Consequences

🟡In early March 2025, the crypto market lost a significant portion of its January highs. Despite Donald Trump’s announcement of a U.S. crypto reserve, prices failed to hold.

🟡Experts attribute the decline to macroeconomic factors, including a weak labor market, recession fears, and U.S. trade tariffs. Bitcoin dropped 9% to $83,700, while Ethereum fell 11% to $2,100.

🟡Ethereum continues to underperform against Bitcoin, losing institutional interest. Its price has declined 36% since the start of the year, making it the worst-performing asset among the top 15 cryptocurrencies.
