Hong Kong Recognizes Crypto Assets

⚫For the first time, Hong Kong has officially recognized Bitcoin and Ethereum as valid asset proof for investment immigration. On February 7, 2025, a client’s application with 30 million HKD in ETH was approved, as confirmed by expert Colin Wu.

⚫Investors must allocate funds within six months, after which they receive a two-year visa with the option for renewal. A similar BTC-based case was recorded in October 2024, and two more applications are currently under review. Hong Kong’s decision opens new opportunities for crypto investors.
