🟦The Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia has assured that miners’ data, including information on mined cryptocurrency and wallet addresses, is stored in a closed system with restricted access. This was stated by Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
🟦According to him, representatives of mining companies are concerned about potential data leaks, as such information could be used to track transactions. However, the FTS claims that its systems are securely protected, even from internal risks.
🟦While cybersecurity experts acknowledge that any information can theoretically be stolen, the tax service remains confident in the security of its databases. Nevertheless, mining in Russia remains under close government scrutiny, as officials view it as a potential threat to the country’s energy system.
