The Dojo supercomputer is designed for machine learning and artificial intelligence. The company first announced it during AI Day in 2021.
The platform utilizes chips developed by Tesla, as well as video data from the Tesla fleet, to train the autonomous driving system.
Dojo is expected to reduce the automaker’s dependence on Nvidia A100 and H100 chips, which are currently dominant in the AI space. It is also anticipated that the installation will become one of the five most advanced supercomputers in the world by early 2024.
