Presentation of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLE Coupe

Automaker Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the updated versions of its midsize SUVs, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLE Coupe. The press release highlighted new daytime running lights and added chrome trim on both sides of the Mercedes logo on the grille. Updates have been made to the front bumper, and the inner elements of the taillights have been redesigned. Additionally, two new exterior colors — Alpine Gray and Metallic Blue — are available, along with wheels ranging from 20 to 22 inches. The updates are completed with animated exterior lighting projections featuring the Mercedes logo.

The steering wheel has been upgraded with touch sensors for navigating the instrument display and central screen. The air vents now come in metallic finishes, and black trim is also available. The multimedia system has been enhanced with the latest MBUX operating system, offering wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The powertrain has been updated with mild hybrid technology across all models. The GLE configuration features a two-liter turbocharged Mercedes engine paired with an electric motor, generating a combined 381 horsepower.

The AMG models feature similar exterior updates along with a range of new interior designs and seating options. The GLE 53 model now includes upgraded software and a larger turbocharger, reducing the 0-100 km/h acceleration time to five seconds.

The updated Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLE Coupe, as well as the AMG 53 and AMG 63 models, are expected to go on sale at the end of 2023.
