🟢On December 17, Ripple will introduce its new stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), backed by U.S. dollars, government bonds, and cash equivalents. To ensure transparency, independent audits will verify reserves on a monthly basis.
🟢RLUSD will initially be available on exchanges such as Uphold, MoonPay, Archax, and CoinMENA, with plans to expand to Bitstamp, Mercado Bitcoin, and other platforms. It will operate on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum networks, with Ripple planning to integrate additional blockchains and DeFi protocols in the future.
🟢Ripple intends to utilize RLUSD for cross-border transactions and treasury transfers. By 2025, the stablecoin will be integrated into Ripple Payments to streamline global payment processes.
