🟢The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its decision on NYSE’s proposal to list options based on an Ethereum ETF. This involves the Bitwise Ethereum ETF, Grayscale Ethereum Trust, and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust, along with other trusts holding Ethereum.
🟢Previously, the agency planned to reach a decision by November 11, but now requires a more thorough analysis to ensure the proposed rule changes meet the requirements of the Securities Act. A new deadline for reviewing the application has not yet been specified.
🟢In October, the SEC approved the trading of options on spot Bitcoin ETFs on the NYSE and CBOE. In January, the Commission authorized 11 applications to launch exchange-traded funds based on the leading cryptocurrency.
