Ripple Launches Its Own Stablecoin

🔵The CEO of Ripple announced plans for the company to introduce its own stablecoin, Real USD (RLUSD), pegged to the US dollar. The token’s goal is to stabilize transactions within the XRP Ledger system. Brad Garlinghouse promised that RLUSD would be available on both XRP Ledger and Ethereum, making the coin widely usable across different blockchain platforms.

🔵Additionally, Ripple continues its legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The SEC claims that the coin issued by the company, XRP, is an unregistered security. Bill Morgan, the lawyer representing XRP holders, insists that transactions using XRP through Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) solution do not violate securities laws.
