SEC Approved Spot Ethereum ETFs

❗ On May 23, 2024, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved spot Ethereum ETFs. The regulator approved the 19b-4 forms submitted by issuers looking to launch these funds. Among these issuers are BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale, VanEck, Franklin Templeton, Ark/21Shares, and Invesco/Galaxy.

Previously, Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas predicted that the capital share of spot Ethereum ETFs would be around 10% of Bitcoin ETF figures when the products launch in Hong Kong. This provides insight into the potential performance of this asset class in the U.S.
