Bitcoin ETFs Lose $1.28B in a Week as Ether Funds Shed $365.3M

US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds gave up $1.28 billion in the week to Friday 6 November, their second straight week of net redemptions, by The Block's count. Spot ether funds lost $365.3 million over the same five sessions. The smaller products ran the same way, with Solana ETFs shedding $26.3 million and the three Hyperliquid funds $15.6 million. Across the two largest fund groups only one session in the week drew money in. It was Wednesday.

The week day by day

The daily sequence is consistent across the three accounts read for this piece. Bitcoin funds lost $398.6 million on Monday and $115.6 million on Tuesday, took in $74.6 million on Wednesday, then gave back $430.2 million on Thursday and $411.9 million on Friday. Those five figures add up to $1.2817 billion, which is the number crypto.news published on Saturday morning from Farside Investors data. The Block, working from SoSoValue, put the same week at $1.28 billion. 24/7 Wall St. printed $1.28 billion in its body and $1.3 billion in its headline. Three readings, one week, and no real disagreement on the total.

One fund did most of it

BlackRock's IBIT carried the bulk. On Friday alone the fund lost $403 million, which The Block put at about 88 per cent of that day's gross outflows. 24/7 Wall St. measured the same fund across the whole week at $1.21 billion, or 94 per cent of the week's bitcoin ETF selling. The two percentages cover different windows and are not one claim. Fidelity's FBTC was the only fund to take money in on Friday, at $42.8 million, a day after leading Thursday's exits with $199.9 million. Bitwise's BITB lost $20.5 million, Ark and 21Shares' ARKB $20.1 million, Grayscale's GBTC $11.1 million. Every other product on the Farside sheet showed zero that day.

Ether's run is the longer one

Ether funds are the ones with the streak. Their $365.3 million loss was a sixth consecutive negative week by The Block's count, draining about $2.02 billion since late September, and BlackRock's ETHA accounted for $90.8 million of Friday's total. Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs each reached a fifth straight negative week, the longest run either has had since listing. The Solana streak began the week those funds broke a record 14-week inflow run. The one green session, Wednesday's $74.6 million bitcoin inflow, came with a $53 million gain in ether funds; Solana's sheet showed nothing at all that day.

The totals that do not line up

Net assets across the 12 bitcoin funds fell 2.3 per cent on the week to $95.9 billion, a figure The Block and 24/7 Wall St. both print. Cumulative inflows are where they part. 24/7 Wall St. gives $55.70 billion for the group since launch, while The Block puts IBIT's own cumulative inflows at $65.1 billion against $60.3 billion of net assets. A single fund cannot have taken in more than its whole category. Those two do not reconcile, and neither account explains the gap.

One claim here rests on a single outlet. The Block reported that the week pushed bitcoin ETFs to roughly $914.1 million of net outflows for 2026, from about $368 million of inflows at the week's start; no other account read for this piece carries a year-to-date figure. The price readings split as well. crypto.news had bitcoin at $76,070 at 09:31 UTC on Saturday, The Block near $75,880 that same morning, and 24/7 Wall St. at $75,720 in a piece filed at 20:43 UTC. The weekly low is unsettled too, at $74,888 on one count and an intraday $74,722 on Friday by another. We could not establish which reading supersedes which. Monday's sheet decides whether the ether streak reaches seven.
