Leadership Change at the SEC

While the selection of a new SEC chair remains uncertain, several candidates are reportedly under consideration.

🟩Among the potential nominees are former SEC Commissioner Dan Gallagher, currently working at Robinhood, and Bob Stebbins, whose candidacy is being promoted by Jay Clayton, the former general counsel of the SEC. If Stebbins is appointed, he is likely to follow directives from Trump’s White House. Other possible candidates include Brad Bondi, an attorney at Paul Hastings, and Paul Atkins of Willkie Farr, both known for advocating stricter approaches to cryptocurrency regulation.
