Visa Developing a New Platform for Banks

🟦 Visa is developing a new platform to simplify the interaction between banks and tokenized assets, as well as smart contracts. The platform is currently operating in a “sandbox” mode at Hong Kong’s HSBC and Spain’s BBVA. The latter plans to launch it in a pilot mode on the Ethereum mainnet in 2025.

🟦 Visa has already conducted pilot projects under the “Digital Hong Kong Dollar” program and is participating in a CBDC project for the digital real. Visa representatives are confident that the new platform will become a key element in the further development of the digital economy.
