Bitcoin Hits a New Record

🟠On December 16, Bitcoin’s price surpassed $107,000, setting a historic record. According to CoinMarketCap, the price reached $107,195.58 after 7:40 PM MSK before correcting to $106,900, still 3.78% higher than the previous day.

🟠Currently, 19.79 million Bitcoins are in circulation. Oleg Kalmanovich, chief analyst at Neomarkets, attributes this surge to the Federal Reserve’s rate cuts, which began on September 18. He noted that anticipation of this event had already driven market growth earlier. Following the U.S. presidential election and Donald Trump’s victory, investors have returned to riskier assets, including Bitcoin.

🟠In Russia, 54,000 Bitcoins were mined in 2023, potentially generating 50 billion rubles in tax revenue for the state treasury.
