⚫ Bundestag member Joanna Cotar has urged the German government to stop its mass sale of Bitcoin, calling it “counterproductive.”
🔴 She invited government representatives to her lecture with Bitcoin evangelist Samson Mow. In her letter, the deputy argues that the leading cryptocurrency offers a “unique opportunity” for asset diversification.
🟠 In 2023, Cotar also introduced a bill to make the flagship cryptocurrency a legal payment method in Germany, following El Salvador’s example. It was previously reported that the German government transferred an additional 1,300 BTC to exchanges, increasing selling pressure. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s price recently dropped to $56,836.
