8 Reasons Your Crypto Withdrawal Is Stuck and How to Fix It

A crypto withdrawal usually gets stuck for one of two reasons: the exchange has not sent it yet, or it was sent and the blockchain has not confirmed it. Finding out which one is the first fix. Open the withdrawal in your history: if there is a transaction hash, it has left the exchange; if there is not, the hold is on the exchange's side.

Why is my crypto withdrawal stuck?

Think of it like sending a parcel: it can be held at the counter, or it can be sitting in a traffic jam on the way. Here are the eight usual suspects:

Network congestion. Bitcoin or Ethereum is busy and your transfer is waiting in line. Fix: wait; it clears on its own.

Wrong address, network or memo. Coins sent on the wrong chain, or to an exchange without its memo or tag, arrive but never show up. Fix: contact the receiving platform with the transaction hash.

What should I check first?

Look for the hash, paste it into a block explorer such as Etherscan or mempool.space, and see whether it has confirmations. Confirmed but missing funds means the problem is at the receiving end. No hash at all means you need the sending exchange's support.
