As the popularity of DIY fashion continues to rise, SVP Worldwide (the world’s largest sewing machine manufacturer) aims to create a whole new generation of home sewing enthusiasts with its collaboration between its Singer brand and streetwear label Supreme.
SVP Worldwide describes the Singer x Supreme collaboration as “the coolest sewing machine of all time,” as the company strives to offer one of the season’s most fashionable must-have products.
The new computerized Singer SP68 sewing machine comes in Supreme’s signature bright red color and is adorned with the brand’s logo. The machine offers 548 stitch options, including 300 individual variations of basic, stretch, and decorative stitches, as well as 2 fonts for lettering.
Key features of the sewing machine include an LCD screen displaying stitch settings and a thread trimming button that saves time by cutting both the top and bottom threads simultaneously. The speed control option allows users to set their sewing speed for maximum control.
Dean Brindle, SVP Worldwide’s Marketing Director, said in a statement: “Even as a 171-year-old company, we maintain our individuality. We teach sewing on social media, have created a digital library of inspiring projects, and collaborated on fashion projects with Amazon Prime’s Making the Cut, Disney’s Cruella, and now Supreme. We continue to strive to be at the forefront of our existing and new customers’ minds.”
The Singer x Supreme sewing machine is available at Supreme for $598.
