Rise in Attacks on Crypto Holders

🔴In 2025, the number of physical attacks on Bitcoin holders is on track to break historical records — 35 incidents have already been reported, compared to the all-time high of 36 in 2021. Analysts attribute the spike in crime to Bitcoin’s soaring price, which has reached $122,000, as well as the illusion of anonymity associated with digital assets.

🔴Chainalysis and other experts urge users to utilize exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and entrust asset custody to reputable platforms. These measures, along with active law enforcement efforts, may reduce the appeal of such crimes.
