🌀An illegal mining farm has been discovered in the Irkutsk region, consuming electricity equivalent to 150 households. Police seized over 130 ASIC miners, while energy providers estimated the damage at 12 million rubles. The alleged owner had illegally connected the equipment to a transformer.
🌀Local authorities are intensifying their crackdown on mining: the activity was already banned in the region during winter, and the governor is proposing to extend the restrictions until 2031.
