Russia Legalizes Mining

🟠 Russia is starting the formation of a register of miners, which will be developed and maintained by the Federal Tax Service (FTS). The legalization of mining was confirmed by President Vladimir Putin in early August when he signed the corresponding law.

🟠 Both individuals and registered legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the special register will be allowed to mine cryptocurrencies. Starting in November, only companies listed in the register will be permitted to engage in industrial-scale mining. Private miners will be allowed to mine within established energy consumption limits without the need for registration.
