🔵 One of the key aspects of the new draft law is the legalization of mining as a type of entrepreneurial activity. It is expected that this will increase the attractiveness of Russia for miners from other countries and boost investments in this field. Only legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who are included in the official registry of the Cabinet of Ministers will be allowed to engage in cryptocurrency mining.
🔵 The new draft law also suggests introducing tax incentives for miners. In particular, there is a discussion about the possibility of exempting small and medium-sized enterprises from profit tax payments for the first few years of operation.
🔵 The Russian government will set the requirements for activities of individuals and legal entities involved in the extraction of digital assets, after coordinating the rules with the Central Bank. The Ministry of Digital Development will oversee compliance. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation will also gain the authority to impose a ban on cryptocurrency mining in specific regions or territories.
