Bitcoin Slides to $76,455 as US Spot Funds Shed $398.6 Million

US spot bitcoin ETFs lost $398.6 million on Monday, and one fund accounted for more than the whole session. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust shed $405.3 million. Fidelity's Wise Origin fund took in $6.7 million the same day, leaving the aggregate smaller than IBIT's figure on its own. Bitcoin traded around $76,455 early on Tuesday, down 2.19% over 24 hours. Three dashboards put three different liquidation totals on that single day.
One fund against the aggregate
The arithmetic is simple enough to check. IBIT out $405.3 million, Fidelity in $6.7 million, net $398.6 million. No other fund is broken out in the accounts read here. Cointelegraph, crypto.news and AltcoinBuzz all carry the same two fund figures, and Cointelegraph names Farside Investors as the source; a flash item crediting Farside had the same aggregate out at 05:16 UTC, hours before any of them published.
Cointelegraph puts Monday down as IBIT's largest daily outflow since June, when the fund lost $444.5 million on the 26th. That comparison stands on one account. This desk's October reporting had the fund going the other way, with IBIT taking in $665 million in a single session on 19 October, its best day in a year.
Three liquidation counts for one day
Forced closures are where the accounts separate. Each of these is a bitcoin liquidation figure for a 24-hour window around Monday's session:
- $88.83 million, crypto.news, published 06:40 UTC on Tuesday.
- Nearly $100 million, CoinGlass data cited on that same crypto.news page, mostly long positions.
- $121 million, MyToken via ME News, read as of Tuesday on a UTC+8 clock, inside $444 million of liquidations across all crypto derivatives.
The first two sit on one page and still do not agree. The third runs on a different clock and a different dashboard, and its ether figure of $90.94 million has no counterpart anywhere else read here. We could not establish which 24 hours each total covers. All three are printed.
One tracker against another on the month
Monday was the second heavy session inside four days. Both crypto.news and AltcoinBuzz put 30 October's outflow at $643.3 million; this desk reported $643.2 million for that Friday, reading SoSoValue. A hundred thousand dollars on $643 million changes nothing and does not reconcile either. Across the two sessions AltcoinBuzz puts roughly $1.04 billion out.
The monthly figures sit further apart. Farside, through Cointelegraph, leaves October at $515 million of net outflows and 2026 to date at $38 million. This desk read October's sessions off SoSoValue, which ran a different cumulative total through the month. Neither provider is wrong on its own terms, and they are not counting the same series. Ether funds lost $139.7 million on Monday, a sixth consecutive outflow session, and Cointelegraph puts their October at a record $1.61 billion out on a figure no other account here repeats.
Tuesday's open question
Support sits at $76,400 to $76,500 on crypto.news's read, with $75,000 and the 50-week moving average near $75,602 beneath it. Resistance is $78,000, then $79,500, the level AltcoinBuzz says bitcoin lost and has not reclaimed. The relative strength index, a momentum gauge running from zero to 100, stood at 34.26 against its own moving average of 41.67, and the 30 line conventionally read as oversold was not crossed. That reading is single-sourced. Bitcoin had briefly recovered toward $78,000 on Monday before giving it up, after holding the narrowest range since mid-October over the weekend.
Edwin Mata, chief executive of the tokenization firm Brickken, read the flows this way in commentary published Monday:
"I wouldn't interpret these outflows as a rejection of digital assets," Mata said.
Cointelegraph paraphrases the rest of him: investors trim exposure when uncertainty rises, and particularly after events that put the security of market infrastructure in question. One account names the US October employment report on 6 November as the next scheduled macro release; the others do not mention it. Until a session turns positive, the daily flow print is the only number with a date on it.
