July: $153M Lost in Crypto Hacks

🔴In July 2025, the crypto sector suffered losses totaling $153.18 million, according to CertiK. Centralized exchanges were hit hardest, losing $86.7 million — more than half of all damages. The largest incident was the $44 million hack of CoinDCX.
🔴The most significant vulnerabilities were found in wallets and smart contracts, while phishing and flash loan attacks remain persistent threats. Although $38.9 million was recovered, most of the stolen funds were lost permanently. Experts warn that centralized platforms have once again become prime targets for hackers.
