Ethereum’s New Roadmap

⬛Speaking at the Japan Dev Conference, Vitalik Buterin unveiled an updated Ethereum roadmap. Over the next two years, the focus will be on scaling: raising gas limits, deploying ZK-EVMs, and optimizing slot times to prepare the network for mass L2 adoption.

⬛Mid-term priorities include smoother interoperability between L2s, trustless cross-chain transfers, and stronger transaction privacy. Tools such as zero-knowledge proofs, mixnets, and new cryptographic protocols will play a central role. The long-term vision centers on a minimalist, secure architecture designed to withstand even quantum computing threats.
