Ethereum Upgraded to Pectra

🔷The Ethereum network took a major step forward with the rollout of the Pectra upgrade on May 7. The key innovation is EIP-7702, which allows regular wallets to act like smart contracts and pay transaction fees not only in ETH. This simplifies the user experience, making blockchain interactions more intuitive and secure — especially for newcomers.

🔷Additionally, the staking limit for validators was increased (EIP-7251), making institutional participation easier. The upgrade enhances Ethereum’s scalability and its interaction with layer-2 solutions, although experts caution about emerging risks — particularly related to wallet security.
