The Decline of Clicker Games Popularity

🔴Cryptocurrency games in the tap-to-earn format, or “clickers,” are rapidly losing users. Even amidst the growth of the crypto market, interest in such projects has dropped by 80% from June to December, according to Google Trends. Leading clicker games on the Telegram platform, such as Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Catizen, have lost millions of players over the past month.

🔴On-chain activity on the TON blockchain, which powers these games, has also declined. In September, the number of active wallets exceeded 1 million, but by December, it had fallen to 500,000.

🔴The main reason for the decline is repetitive gameplay. More than half of players stop engaging with clicker games due to monotonous tasks and reduced rewards. Issues with security, token withdrawals, poor graphics, and technical glitches also contribute to their declining popularity.
