Bitcoin to 400 Million by 2050? Mark Moss Just Dropped His Boldest Prediction Yet

Every once in a while, someone in crypto says something so outrageous that the whole community stops scrolling and starts arguing.
This time, it was Mark Moss — venture capitalist and well-known Bitcoin maximalist — who made headlines with his latest forecast: Bitcoin could reach 400 million per coin by 2050.
Yes, four hundred million dollars. One single BTC.
What Moss Actually Said
Moss believes Bitcoin won’t just be digital gold — it has the potential to become a global unit of account. He argues that as governments keep printing money and debt levels explode, Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins will drive its value exponentially higher over the next 25 years.
According to him, Bitcoin could eventually capture a massive portion of global wealth, far beyond its current market cap.
Why This Sounds Crazy… But Not Impossible
On one hand, 400 million per Bitcoin sounds completely absurd. That would make one coin worth more than the GDP of many countries today.
On the other hand, Bitcoin has already gone from less than a cent to over $73,000 in just 16 years. If you zoom out far enough, exponential growth doesn’t look as impossible as it seems.
The core idea is simple:
- Fiat currencies continue to lose purchasing power.
- Global debt keeps growing unsustainably.
- Bitcoin has the hardest, most transparent monetary policy ever created.
