Bing AI to Appear on Windows 11 Taskbar

Three weeks after unveiling the new AI-powered Bing, Microsoft is ready to roll it out in a Windows 11 update. During the preview, users can access all of Bing AI’s new features directly from the search box on the Windows 11 taskbar. In addition to general web search, the integrated Bing AI allows users to ask natural language questions, and the intelligent chatbot will respond conversationally. If you don’t yet have access to the new Bing, you can sign up for the Microsoft waitlist.

Now that people are finally taking Bing more seriously, Microsoft is eager to integrate it into the core of Windows 11, removing the need to open Edge or switch to a primary web browser. Last week, the company also launched a preview of Bing AI in its mobile apps and Skype.

If you’re not interested in Bing AI, the latest Windows 11 update includes many other intriguing new features. First, Windows users will be able to test Phone Link for iPhone, allowing them to make calls and send text messages from Windows. Android users with Samsung phones, who have had access to Phone Link for a while, will also be able to easily enable Wi-Fi hotspots and transfer browsing sessions.

With this update, Microsoft is also enhancing “touch” capabilities. If you have a detachable or convertible PC, the taskbar will automatically shrink to maximize screen space.
