North Korean Hackers Pose as Companies

🔴The Lazarus Group, linked to North Korea, has used fake U.S. companies to distribute malware among developers of crypto projects, The Block reports, citing research from Silent Push. The hackers created fake firms, generated AI-powered employee profiles, and invited specialists to fake job interviews to gain access to their data.

🔴This scheme has already led to major attacks, such as the 2022 hack of the Ronin Bridge, which resulted in $625 million in losses. Lazarus is also accused of the recent breach of the Bybit exchange, from which $1.4 billion was stolen. The group’s growing activity highlights the urgent need to strengthen cybersecurity measures in the crypto industry.
