MetaMask Now Supports Tron: Stake TRX Right in Your Wallet, No Extra Hassle

MetaMask just took another solid step toward becoming the ultimate all-in-one crypto wallet — they’ve added full support for the Tron network. And this isn’t just a minor checkbox; it’s genuinely useful for millions of users.

Here’s what you get in practice:

  • Your Tron address appears automatically in your account once you update the mobile app (or the browser extension).
  • You can stake TRX right away and start earning rewards.
  • Those resources (energy and bandwidth) help cover transaction fees — keeping things basically free, just like Tron is famous for.
  • Plus, you can vote for Super Representatives — the classic Tron DeFi move.

For now, staking is only available in the mobile version of MetaMask, but that’s already a huge win: no need to jump between different wallets anymore. Everything lives in one place.

Sam Elfarra from Tron DAO summed it up nicely in his comment: this integration opens up access to a blockchain that handles over $21 billion in daily stablecoin transfers. And he’s not exaggerating — Tron is currently one of the biggest hubs for USDT (over $81 billion in circulation on the network). For anyone moving a lot of stables around, the low fees and speed are a game-changer.

MetaMask has been on a real multichain roll lately: they added Bitcoin back in December 2025, already had Solana, Base, and of course Ethereum. Now Tron joins the party. It’s clear they’re aiming for “one wallet to rule them all,” and they’ve promised even more networks in 2026.

Personally, I love when friction disappears like this. No more keeping a separate TronLink or Trust Wallet just to stake TRX. Open MetaMask — and you’re good to go. Especially great for newcomers or anyone tired of browser clutter with ten different extensions.

Of course, a couple of reminders: always double-check you’re on the official update (watch out for phishing), read the announcement post, and keep in mind that staking involves locking your tokens for a bit. But overall — this is a big W for user convenience and Tron’s mainstream adoption.

What do you think, guys? Already updated and staking TRX inside MetaMask? Or still watching from the sidelines?
