🔴Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has reported that approximately 15,000 of its clients may be affected by a data breach due to a hack of its banking partner’s system. The platform’s team has warned clients about the potential for phishing emails.
🔴Gemini has notified the California Attorney General about the incident. An unauthorized party gained access to an internal tool within the system of the unnamed banking partner. This breach could have exposed transaction data between June 3 and June 7. The stolen information may include client names, bank account details, and branch numbers provided to Gemini for fund transfers.
