🟪Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, has launched a pilot project to accept crypto payments in Belarus. The option is currently available to residents of the Minsk Hi-Tech Park, which benefits from a special regulatory framework. Payments are processed via Whitebird: customers deposit crypto, which is converted into Belarusian rubles, and then issued as an electronic certificate for purchases on the platform.
🟪The system supports major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT, with real-time exchange rates displayed. No commission is charged, and the certificate is automatically credited to the seller’s account. While the service is limited to a small user base for now, the pilot reflects the growing interest of large retailers in experimenting with digital assets.
