Russian Businessman Behind Hamster Kombat Game

🐹According to journalists from the Telegram channel BRIEF, Russian businessman Eduard Gurinovich has been identified as the owner of the widely popular clicker game Hamster Kombat. On May 30, 2024, Gurinovich filed a trademark application for the phrase “Hamster Kombat” with Rospatent. By June 5, 2024, the Russian patent office had approved the application, officially registering the trademark.

🐹Interestingly, the application made no mention of financial services. Instead, it included business-related intermediary services aimed at connecting private investors with entrepreneurs seeking funding for development.

🐹The businessman has refrained from commenting on his connection to Hamster Kombat. This silence may stem from some Russian lawmakers’ statements suggesting that the game should be banned in the country.
