⚡ U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that if he wins the election, he would pardon Ross Ulbricht, the founder of the dark web marketplace Silk Road.
❗ Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, was arrested in 2013 and charged with money laundering, drug trafficking, and cybercrimes. He was convicted and sentenced to two life terms plus 40 additional years.
Trump also expressed support for the crypto industry, stating that the U.S. should take a leading role in this sector. He believes that current President Joe Biden is trying to halt the expansion of the crypto industry into the U.S. market.
